SHARED FACILITIES:

CEMAM supports state-of-the-art facilities that enable critical core research activities in Materials Science and Engineering, including Computational Modeling, Advanced Characterization Methods and Elaboration and Processing Methods. An additional goal is to minimize the costs to users by making a significant educational training opportunity available to all interested participants, students, and post-doctoral associates.

Available modeling, characterization, and elaboration resources include:

COMPUTATIONAL FACILITIES

CEMAM supports CIMENT, the Grenoble University High Performance Computing (HPC) centre comprised of the scientific and technological universities and institutes of Grenoble: Joseph Fourier University (UJF), Grenoble Institute of Technology (G-INP), INRIA, CEA, CNRS.

ADVANCED CHARACTERIZATION FACILITIES

CEMAM supports the CMTC characterization platform of Grenoble INP. CMTC is a fully-staffed unit serving the materials community with a range of state-of-the-art characterization equipment. It also provides support services to both academic and industrial laboratories as well as students training.

ELABORATION AND PROCESSING FACILITIES

Partner laboratories are already home to a large variety of elaboration techniques, including casting platforms, powder metallurgy processes, thermomechanical processing, self assembly techniques and polymer elaboration capacity, as well as thin film deposition (CVD, ALD) techniques. An important aim of CEMAM is to manage this pool of operational resources via the ECOMARCH platform that supports educational innovation with a permanent link to industrial strategies.
